
Tracey Porter, RVN - Head Nurse

Tracey qualified in 2001 having
trained locally at Kingston Maurward College. She has
had a varied career in many fields including
administrative posts and sales & marketing. Her career
started in veterinary nursing in 1994 at the PDSA in
Bournemouth, continuing at mixed practices in Wareham,
Swanage and Tiverton. She has been at Heathlands since
2003, leading a close team of 5 nurses, and is also
responsible for the practice health and safety.
Tracey currently has one cat called Marie, and is
looking forwards to spending time on neutering campaigns
in exotic locations in the future. |
Ruth Waters, RVN - Principle Training Nurse

Ruth qualified at the Stone Lion Veterinary
Hospital in Wimbledon, London, in 1996. She now works part-time
at Heathlands as the principle training nurse, tutoring
our student veterinary nurses, and helping them to gain their
full qualification in Veterinary
Nursing.
She has two Children, Tom and Molly; Two cats, Mop and
Oreo; One Dog, Scooby; And enjoys riding and competing
her horse, Baxter. |
Hayley Tapping, RVN - Veterinary Nurse

Hayley joined Heathlands in July
2007, and has recently passed her final exams for the
NVQ, making her a fully
qualified Veterinary Nurse.
Before Hayley started nursing, she studied animal care
at college and achieved a first diploma and an advanced
national certificate in this field. After college she
worked at Margaret Green Animal Rescue for 3 years as a
senior member of staff.
Hayley has 9 chickens, and a cat, also called Chicken. |
Alex "Bini" Evans - Student Veterinary Nurse

Bini joined Heathlands in October 2009 and is currently
studying for the second and final year of her veterinary nursing NVQ, having
previously worked at Margaret Green Animal Rescue as a
senior member of staff.
She has both a BA(Hons) Degree in Journalism and an FdSc
Equine Science degree, and is the proud owner of Marley
and Winnie, her two Springer spaniels, as well as
Rowdy, a cocker spaniel. She also has 2 horses and 11
chickens!
Bini hopes to travel and assist with various veterinary
endeavours abroad once she has qualified. |
Holly Johnson - Student Veterinary Nurse
